The type of inspection and documentation required depends on the installation and the work being completed. We will determine the appropriate testing and certificate requirements when arranging your booking.
Fixed gas installations and vehicle-based gas systems can require different documentation.
For completed fixed installations, the relevant document is generally a Gas System Compliance Certificate. For gas fuel systems installed in vehicles or vessels, including recreational vehicles, the applicable document may be a Gas System Inspection Certificate.

What we handle:1. Booking and system information
We obtain details about the property, caravan, appliances and reason for the inspection. Photos may be requested before attendance so that we can prepare the required equipment and materials.
2. Visual inspection
We inspect the accessible gas cylinders, regulators, pigtails, pipework, isolation valves, appliance connections, ventilation and other relevant components.
3. Pressure and leak testing
The gas system is tested to confirm its integrity and identify any unacceptable pressure loss or leakage.
4. Appliance testing
Accessible gas appliances are operated and checked for correct ignition, flame stability, safety-device operation and general performance.
5. Defect identification
If a defect or non-compliant component is identified, we explain the issue and the work required before certification can be completed.
6. Repairs where authorised
Minor defects may be rectified during the same attendance where practical and approved by the customer. More substantial repairs will be quoted separately.
7. Certification
Once the installation has passed the required inspection and testing, the applicable compliance or inspection documentation is completed and supplied.Important certification information:
A certificate can only be issued where the inspected gas installation satisfies the applicable requirements.
The inspection fee does not guarantee that an existing system will pass. If defects are identified, any repair or replacement work required to achieve compliance will be discussed with you before proceeding.
Where an immediate safety concern is identified, the affected appliance or gas supply may need to be isolated until the required repairs are completed.
